Anion exchange of tetrachloroaurates on carbon paste electrode modified with montmorillonite was studied in dependence on pH and concentration of chlorides in a sorption medium. Anion sorption of [AuCl4](-) was used as a preconcentration step to the determination of gold in a pharmaceutial preparation. First investigation of a possibility to use this method to determination of gold in blood serum was performed. The limit of determination of 8.12 x 10(-7) mol/L gold in a sample simulating an inorganic part of serum can be achieved. [References: 17]
