The films of an amphiphilic C-60-EDTA (C(60)EA) and its tetramethyl ester (C60EM), prepared both by drop-coating and Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique, were studied by cyclic voltammetry in acetonitrile solutions of tetra-12-butylammonium hexafluorophosphate as the supporting electrolyte. The drop-coated film of C60EM displayed four pairs of redox peaks, which vanished after a few cycles due to the film dissolution. For the LB film of C60EM, three irreversible reduction peaks were observed. Both the drop-coated and the LB film of C(60)EA showed two irreversible reduction peaks. [References: 24]
