The Ontario Professional Engineers Foundation for Education elected a new president and officers at its September meeting, with a renewed emphasis on increasing contributions from professional engineers. Derek L. Wilson, P.Eng., the incoming president and chair, has served the engineering community as both president and past president of the American Public Works Association, Ontario Chapter, and as a current Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) Councillor. Elected to the board of the foundation for the first time at its annual general meeting in June are Catherine Karakarsanis, P.Eng., past president and chair, Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, and Catherine Redden, PEO Councillor and a former mayor of Campbellford (seeking election again at press time).
