British Columbia's engineering regulator has ailed off merger plans with the province's technologists' association, bringing to an end i eaily five years of active discussion between ilie two groups. In early December, the Association of fessional Engineers and Geoscientists of (APEGBC) and the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (AST-TBC) issued a joint statement announcing the end of the merger proposal, but pledging to continue working together on issues of mutual interest.
