摘要

Danieli is the leading company for providing effective solutions to (he steel industry's most challenging demands. In particular, during the last years an outstanding engineering and design effort has been made to develop the most innovative casters, to enable the highest flexibility and cope with the needs of the market. Two examples are described in the present paper, both can handle individually blooms/billets or slabs and even both products simultaneously. Two such combicasters have been commissioned in the last 12 months. The first at Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corp (Taiwan), in April 2002, the second at Taiyuan Iron and Steel (P.R. China), in March 2003. Both casters are designed to process both blooms, billets and slabs, with different characteristics. The conticaster features one slab strand and four billet strands. The cast sizes are 220x660 - 1250 mm on the slab strand and 150x 150 mm and 200 x200 mm on the four-billet strand.
