Bhushan Power & Steel Ltd., India, has placed an order with Friedrich Kocks GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, to supply a state-of-the-art wire rod and bar mill to be installed adjacent to Bhushan's new integrated steel plant in Jharsuguda in the state of Orissa. The installation will help to complete the last stage of the company's phase II expansion program. The combined 500,000 tonnes/year wire rod and bar mill will feature a latest-generation Kocks 3-roll reducing and sizing block (RSB) as its core technology. Kocks' scope of supply comprises design, supply, erection and commissioning of a 4-stand, 3-roll RSB with a nominal roll diameter of 370 mm.
