摘要

An investigation on tomato cultivars was taken to evaluate the effect of fungicidal treatment at seedling stage by comparing treated and untreated seeds in all the cultivars collected from different locations. Application of fungicide as seed treatment (Thiram @ 3g/kg seeds) led to significant increase in the speed of seedling emergence, vigor index and other seedling quality parameters as compared to the mean value in untreated seeds. In addition, it also significantly helped in lowering the mean values of number of disease seedling (12.3). percent disease incidence (1.3%) and percent disease index (35.0%) in all the treated seeds as compared to the average value of number of disease seedling (29.5), percent disease incidence (3.7%) and percent disease index (45.3%) in untreated seeds.
