摘要

The Fed batch fermentation of 1, 3-propanediol (1. 3-PD) by Klebsiella spp. at different concentration of crude glycerol and pure glycerol, pH (6.5) and temperature (37"C) was investigated. The comparative production of 1,3-PDO was carried out from crude glycerol and pure glycerol at an initial concentration of 30 g/1 by isolated Klebsiella spp. strain. Before inoculation, At the initial cone, of extracted glycerol (30.49 g/1), No production of 1,3-PDO was observed while after inoculation. At the cone of 28.55g/1 of extracted glycerol, Very less production of 1,3 PDO (0.89 g/1) was recorded. After the incubatioi period of 2 h, at the maximum concentration df ex tracted glycerol (28.55 g/1). the minimum 1,3-PDO pro duction of 1.07 g/1 was recorded, while after47 h o incubation, at the minimum concentration of extractet glycerol (2.07 g/1), the maximum 1.3-PDO productior of 12.25 g/1 was observed. For the fermentation pro file of pure glycerol, Before inoculation, At the initia concentration of pure glycerol(30.12 g/1). Productior of 1,3-PDO of 1.12 g/1 was recorded while after inocu lation, At the concentration of 30.91 g/1 of pure glycerol, The less production of 1,3-PDO (1.29 g/1) was recorded. After the incubation period of 2 h, the maximum cone of pureglycerol (29.20) and minimum production of 1, 3-PDO (2.11 g/1) was observed, while after 48 h of incubation, at the concentration of 1.28 g/1 of pure glycerol, the maximum production of 1,1 PDO (10.54 g/1) was observed. As such as the incubation time was enhanced, the decreased in cone of glycerol and increased in production of 1,3-PDO was observed.
