摘要

The study was carried out to assess the effect of organic amendments (compost, digested sludge and sulphitation pressmud) in combination with inorganic amendments (pyrites and gypsum) on the availability and uptake of nutrients in a salt affected soil in 2003-2004. The study comparised two pot experiments with rice crop grown under submergence and wheat crop at field capacity in kharif and rabi seasons, respectively. The application of organic amendments with inorganic amendments are necessary to improve the salt affected soils. Gypsum+sulphitation pressmud significantly improved number of tillers, plant height, panicle length, grain yield, straw yield and test weight in rice and wheat crops. It reduces the soil pH, increased cation exchange capacity, water holding capacity and organic carbon content in the salt-affected soil.
