摘要

New data on the host plants of larvae of 45 grassfly species of the subfamily Chloropinac (Diptera, Chloropidae) in the Middle Don Area (Tambov, Belgorod, and Voronezh provinces) are given. Host plants are recorded for the first time for 14 species (marked by an asterisk in the list). Lists of host plants are expanded for many species. Among the species examined, 22 are polyphagous, 4 are widely oligophagous, 9 are narrowly oligo-phagous, 2 are monophagous, and 7 species are provisionarily consideredmonophagous, as their host plants are recorded for the first time.
