In March, European suppliers and consumers signed contracts for ferrosilicon shipments in Q2. Contract prices for Q2 dropped by EUR 150/t from Q1 to EUR 1,350-1,450/t DDP. Spot quotations are also within the range of EUR 1,350-1,450/t DDP, down EUR 50/t m-o-m on average. The price decrease is partly related to stronger Euro against the US dollar. Yet, prices in dollar terms have remained largely unchanged.
