Market conditions are far from ideal in Europe, say leading importers, as the Brazilian table grape sector prepares to overcome the poor decisions of last season. Europe is gearing up to receive fewer Brazilian table grapes this season following a hike in volumes and an earlier-than-normal start to exports in 2007 which pushed down prices. Instead, importers claim more fruit will be shipped to the US this year, with volumes docking in Europe around mid-October to avoid a clash with Greece.
