AS the Indian mango season kicked off in mid-February, shippers were forecasting a 50 per cent rise in production volumes compared to last year. "Size-wise, we expect the early fruits to be a little smaller this season but recent rainfall should bring sizes up over the coming weeks," explains BB Ramchandani from one of India's leading mango exporters Bhagwandas Bherumal & Co.
