mormoiron—Ugly Mugs looks set to expand across the globe as consumers begin to recognise the inner qualities of fresh produce and the need to reduce waste.French group Les Gueules Cassees has set up an English website in prep-aration for the launch of its Ugly Mugs concept in the UK and beyond. Under the tagline 'Too Good To Waste', the aim is to bring consumers, retailers and producers together to help reduce food waste. The notion is simple: deformed fruit and vegetables that would normally be thrown out are sold instead at a discounted price.
