Chile has taken major steps towards improving the consistency of its blueberry offer as it strives to maintain its position as the world's number one exporter of fresh blueberries. The result, says Andres Armstrong of the Chilean Blueberry Committee,has been a significant rise in quality standards that is helping to drive demand across the globe.Armstrong points out that even a small proportion of fruit arriving on the market in poor condition can seriously harm the image of the entire industry.
