paris—Each link in France's fresh produce supply chain has to remain alert in order to react swiftly to changes in consumption trends and weather patterns.Consumption of fruit and vegetables in France rose in volume by 0.2 per centin 2015, according to a report from interprofessional organisation Inter-fel. That increase may seem paltry, but given the declining sales witnessed by the country's meat, fish and cheese sectors, fruit and vegetables companies can be satisfied with their performance, especially since sales grew by a decent 5.9 per cent in value terms, bolstered by higher prices compared with the year before.
