The adoption of the globally-recognised standard by a number of lime growers is helping to promote Brazil's image throughout the European Union. Since the first Brazilian fresh produce supply group (Itacitrus) achieved GlobalGAP accreditation in 2004,a large number of the country's lime growers have followed suit in*an effort to capture a slice of the important EU market.
