Almena-based tomato marketer Casi is confident of recording higher production this campaign, thanks to rising demand across Europe for speciality varieties. The sheer size of Casi's vast central warehouse, auction room and offices are testament to theimportance of this giant of Almerian horticulture to not just local people and growers, but to the Andalusian fresh produce sector as a whole. Speaking at her office in the complex, Casi's marketing manager, Esther Oliva, says she feels reasonably confident for the outcome of this campaign.
