As in-store labelling requirements become more stringent, retailers are looking increasingly at more versatile solutions like those offered by electronic signage specialist ZBD. Supermarket group Sigma, which operates more than 2,000 stores across Italy, recently installed a new system of electronic shelf labelling developed by ZBD, which specialises in so-called 'e-paper' electronic signage for use in retail outlets. With help from Proxima Centauri, a retail systems specialist and ZBD's Vision partner in Italy, the retailer introduced the technology at its brand new 'II Mondo della Frutta' concept store in Boltiere near Bergamo.
