The recession may have brought tough times to growers, but where there is crisis there is sometinnes opportunity in the form of increasing food consumption at home. Crisis, crisis, crisis... There is no way to write about the current situation in Spain without mentioning this over-used word. Everyone seems to be in crisis and crisis seems to be everywhere. Nevertheless, I'm determined to believe that the C word might have positive effects for the Spanish fresh produce trade. This might not be visible in the short term but will definitely show in the longer run. 1 know you might be thinking that 1 am an unrealistic dreamer, so here are a number of reasons to make you believe in a rosier future...
