sint-truiden—There are mixed emotions at Enzafruit as currency issues deter New Zealand's apple growers from the European market, but create a price-lifting shortfall as a consequence. This apple season is spe- cial, according to Tony Fissette, managing director of Belgium-based Enzafruit New Zealand (Continent). As a result of currency issues, volumes on the European market are currently extremely low, especially from countries in the Southern Hemisphere, causing either elation or frustration, depending on whom you talk to.
