Syngenta Seeds says two of its spring tomato varieties - Daylos and Myla - have been met with a positive consumer response in some of Spain's most demanding export markets. The demand for year-round supply of fruit and vegetables in Europe is increasingly leading to the development of new varieties of fresh produce that can be marketed to consumers during months that are traditionally associated with overseas imports. According to horticultural seeds developer Syngenta Seeds, this demand is leading to increasing success for two tomato varieties that can be grown during the winter months and can be offered to consumers outside the normal tomato season.
