The 360 Quality Association founded in 2006 by a group of specialised reefer shipping companies as a platform to Implement and further develop the 360 Quality concept, a set of standards for specialised reefer operators and their service providers aimed at raising quality in cargo care and meeting the demands of the dynamic reefer market. Following the successful implementation of the code for reefer vessels over the past three years, during which time some 120 vessels have been audited and certified, the association has now turned its attention to certifying 18 reefer terminals and stevedore operations in both the Northern and Southern Hemisphere that have signed up to the scheme. Speaking to Eurofruit at the end of the last year, the organisation's general secretary Birger Lindberg Skov said he expected all of the terminals to meet this month's certification deadline.
