The results of soil formation after equal periods of time on two types of dumps from polymetal deposits of Sikhote-Alin' are studied: on sulfide-free and sulfidized rocks. Very thin contrasting profiles are formed on the surface of sulfidized rocks, whereas the profiles are thicker and develop after the zonal type on sulfide-free soils.
