Launched in March 2008, the company's Sweetgreen pepper has been recognised as the most innovative new product of the past year in the European fresh produce sector. Leading Dutch vegetable seed developer Enza Zaden is likely to see a major increase in demand for Sweetgreen, a sweet, green pepper with high vitamin C content, after the product scooped the prestigious Innovation Award, presented by Messe Berlin and Fruchthandel Magazine at last month's Fruit Logistica in Berlin.
