摘要

Cerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is the most serious subtype of stroke, carrying higher mortality than subarachnoid hemorrhage or ischemic stroke [1]. The main reason for the high mortality may be the rapid enlargement of hematomas particularly in subjects who have been on either anticoagulant or antithrom-botic medication or have deficient blood clotting for other reasons. Whereas the outcome of acute brain infarction has markedly improved because of throm-bolytic treatment during recent years, the outcome of ICH has remained unchanged. No efficient treatment for ICH has been developed, and better management practices need to be established urgently.
