"Look, let me help you again." Susan smiles kindly. "Didn't you learn how to sew at school?" I've been trying to run a back stitch along the seam of the two halves of my egg cosy, but it is not going too well. I never thought I would take up sewing, but generally I find it's best to keep an open mind and to try new things. Earlier in the morning we had been to the Sewing Centre in Exeter, which is a bit of an Aladdin's cave for dressmakers. We had picked out our yellow coloured cotton material, threads and netting and were now set up to make some bee-themed egg cosies. We were spending the wet afternoon sewing beekeeping -themed egg cosies together on the sofa while watching the Olympics. These were to be one of our entries in the branch Honey Showcompetition in a few weeks' time.
