The chemicals legislation of the EU is about to be reformed, the strategy white Paper was presented in February. In a press conference in Brussels on 15 November, CEPE welcomed its basic principles, but expressed sharp criticism of the proposed implementation. Barely foreseeable costs could make the industry's life very difficult. Even without this, the European paint industry is facing a growth rate in the coming year of only 2-3%.
