摘要

The crystallisation of some glasses based on the celsian-spodumene system was studied.Hexacelsian and(3-eucryptite solid solution were the primary crystalline phases developed.With increasing time and temperature of heat-treatment,beta-eucryptite solid solution transformed into beta-spodumene solid solution(at 1050deg C for 30 h)in spodumene rich glasses while sluggish transformation of the metastable hexacelsian into its stable monoclinic celsian.It has been found that increasing the content of the celsian phase in the glasses,results in an increased bulk crystallisation.Phases association,transformation and extent of solid solutions development have been followed by DTA,x-ray diffraction and polarising microscope.It has been found that beta-eucryptite solid solution is transformed into beta-spodumene solid solution at 1050deg C in spodumene rich glasses while in glasses rich celsian beta-eucryptite solid solution is sluggish transformed into beta-spodumene at 1050deg C.In the glasses studied hexcacelsian is transformed into stable monoclinic celsian at 1050deg C for 40 h.
