Building in the 21st century is not just a creative experiment, but above all an engineering challenge and an organisational tour de force. Architects and building companies indeed have to have a universal knowledge of materials and building techniques, sanitation and heating, lighting and engineering. Needless to say that these tasks cannot with the best will in the world be assumed by a single company. Or maybe they can. The French Groupe Coplan Ingenierie has overseen and coordinated the construction of numerous public and private buildings since its founding in 1970. Headquartered in Nice, Coplan is a one-stop shop for building activities in France and abroad.
