摘要

Reports in the literature of theraphosid spiders sharing their burrows with other species are rare. Most relate to various frogs and toads cohabiting with large American theraphosids of the theraphosine subfamily (Hunt, 1980; Cocroft & Hambler, 1989).Theraphosid spiders are generalist predators readily tackling any prey they can overpower. This often includes small vertebrates, as well as the more usual invertebrate fare. It is therefore surprising that any animal would choose to cohabit with a theraphosid spider.
