DW12S is a new fully automatic solution within the Windak spooling and winding series. The whole series covers drum sizes from 165 up to 1600mm in flange diameter, in-line or off-line with a pay-off. The DW12S loads empty reels, winds and cuts the cable, stretch-wraps the reel and discharges the finished drum. The machine can be combined with other stations such as a spark and lump neck down tester, labelling, palletiser and stretch-wrapper, as well as conveyers to the storage area. Windak says: "Add to this the highest known production speed, a superior winding quality and good safety with the winding area enclosed." DW12S is developed for power cable and wire between approximately 08mm and 028mm. The drum diameters are PHI 400-1600 mm; drum widths 350-1000mm and the maximum drum weight 1500kg.
