Salutations again. This issue of the GeoBulletin is once again chock-full (what is the origin of that expression?) of contributions and photos, although the issue of retaining and recruiting our advertisers continues to trouble us somewhat. I would like to begin this issue by thanking our out-going President, Prof. Uwe Reimold, who has made my job as editor significantly more rewarding, as well as easier, and who has put a great deal of himself into the job (as is evidenced by the number of times he appears, apparently enjoying himself, in the GSSA awards photos, and he'd be in more except I cropped him out on the grounds of having enough of a good thing…). I would also then like to welcome our new President, Mr Dawie van Wyk, on behalf of the BG, and we look forward to his missives (see next page and his contributions to the Society).
