TO date there has been limited independent monitoring of heat-pump installations in the UK, but following increasing interest, the Energy Saving Trust (EST) is planning to undertake the first large-scale monitoring of heat pumps in UK residential installations. This field trial aims to provide independent evidence of: The level of heat generation and energy savings achieved from In situ installations. The factors that can influence the performance of heat pumps. he customer experience and perceptions of the technology (acquisition, installation and operation) and achieveable customer benefits.
