THE worldwide boom in construction helped Bauma 2007 to attract an unprecedented number of visitors: a new all-time record of approximately 500,000 - an increase of around 20 percent on the last show in Munich, according to its organisers. This 28th Bauma trade fair saw a strong increase in the proportion of visitors from outside Germany, reaching around 160,000 (116,000 in 2004). For seven days, Bauma 2007 was a presentation platform for the latest developments and technologies in construction machinery, building-materials machinery, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment. To further enhance the success of Rocket Boomer E-series - Atlas Copco's new series of face-drilling rigs for medium-to-large tunnels - a number of options have been added to the list of features. The rig can now be delivered with the upgraded Tunnel Manager software, the Atlas Copco Tunnel Profiler and a new rod-handling system, specially designed for the E-series.
