Spain’s Gas Natural announced today that it had signed a contract to supply Electricite de France (EdF) with 4 Bcm of LNG from April 2009. In a statement, EdF said that Gas Natural would deliver the gas at a rate of 1 Bcm each year until 2012, which would contribute to supply a part of the French gas market. An EdF spokesperson told Gas Matters Today that they could not confirm where the gas will be delivered to, stating only that the company had ‘several positions in several facilities’, but industry analysts believe that the gas would be delivered to the company’s LNG terminal at Montoir-de-Bretagne.
