Centrax Gas Turbines in the UK manufactures, packages and maintains gas turbine power generation sets ranging from 2.5 MW to 6.3 MW, primarily for European applications. All their generator sets are based on the Rolls-Royce 501-K series of gas turbines, used mainly in CHP and cogeneration applications plus for base load and standby power. Industry applications include district heating, food, chemicals, brewing, ceramics manufacturing, paper mills, oil and gas industry. Most of these packages drive locally-supplied generators through reduction gearing at 1500 rpm operating on 11kV, 3 phase, 50 Hz electrical system.
