摘要

The ionospheric response to the strong magnetic storm of October 29-31, 2003, was studied with the help of the ISZF SO RAN radar complex consisting of the DPS-4 digisonde, LFM ionosonde, and incoherent backscatter radar. An analysis of data obtained with three instruments has shown that these data are in good agreement in some intervals and are considerably different in other intervals. The discrepancies are attributed to the effect of the horizontally inhomogeneous structure of the ionosphere originating at the recovery phase of the magnetic storm. The electron density gradient has been estimated.
