During the authorisation process of plant protection products the trials for demonstrating efficacy are carried out on small plots. In doing so Good Experimental Practice (GEP) must be observed. The requirements which are necessary for the application technique were discussed and laid down by a working group of experts from the official plant protection services in the German Federal States. The compilation of these requirements represents the actual state of affairs, listing essential aspects of the nozzle equipment and positioning.
