Why is it that I frequently find myself having to defend our industry against ill informed conjecture and opinion? I'm sure you know the feeling at a social gathering when you are asked what you do for a living; you are forced on the defensive because you are associated with the outdated image of the pushy retail salesman who won't leave the house until he has a signed order.
