In these tumultuous times, most of the blame is being directed toward the US, but the expectation is also that salvation will come from the 'New World.' However, there is still a way of doing business the American way that applies very well to the current situation; namely the use of agents, manufacturer representatives, sales consultants, external partners and transitional managers to name but a few. Of course there are some companies that think that the end of the world is upon us and they do not see that with their market share of single digit percent at best, they still can thrive even if that market drops by 20 percent or 30 percent. They just have to increase their market share. This article is therefore intended for those companies that can still see the opportunities.
