Oman Cement has announced a profit after tax of 47.5 million US dollars for the six months to 30 June 2010. This compares favourably to the 28.2 million US dollars made in the same period of 2009. The figure includes a payment of 18.3 million US dollars received from the government as reimbursement for losses incurred during 2008 and 2009 on imports of clinker and cement.
