The fan manufacturer, Reitz, based in Hoxter, North Rhine-Westphalia, continues to expand in 2010. Reitz launched a general contracting company in Moscow in 2009 and on 1 January 2010, Reitz opened the sales company Reitz Wentylatory Polska Sp.z.o.o., based near the Polish city of Poznan. The two Polish employees, Maciej Piszczalka and Gustaw Wdowicki, both with knowledge of the industry, have already taken up their positions. Their assignment is to intensify contacts with Poland, to gain new customers and to increase awareness of the Reitz brand in the Eastern Europe region - especially in the de-dusting, ventilation and energy sectors, as well as in the cement industry. Ulrich Breder, the managing director of Reitz, recognises an opportunity with the opening of the sales office in Poland: "It is particularly relevant in times of economic uncertainty to have sound judgement and to be dynamic, in order to set the course for tomorrow. Poland - with its population of 38 million - is not only promising from an economic standpoint, but is also the gateway to Eastern Europe and, consequently, provides access to the entire Eastern European fan market."
