The first series of VAS~R installations in the UK have now been operational for two years. These have been a joint project with one of the global players in the white minerals marketplace, who wished to introduce the FRITZ & MACZIOL loading process controls that have been so successful for them elsewhere. This is a typical installation at a plant that despatches many loads of bulk limestone products per day, stored in seventeen road and rail silos, plus bagged products, stored in the warehouse. Multiply the permutations of item numbers and product codes and think about the possibilities for errors! The VAS software now ensures that products can only ever be despatched from the correct silo and that the load is accompanied by the necessary paperwork.
