The cement industry in Russia and other CIS territories is going through a healthy period of sustained growth, and the largest player in this region is Eurocement Holding AG. Eurocement is an international, vertically-integrated industrial holding company based in Russia that manufactures a range of construction materials. Eurocement is also fast becoming a major world player in the cement and construction materials industry. The company's growth was demonstrated in 2008 when Corporate Secret magazine placed Eurocement in fourth position in its annual rating of the fastest-growing Russian companies. That result was on the back of its steady growth over the last three years. According to Corporate Secret magazine: "The company always aims at implementing new business models, qualitative reinforcement of its marketing activity, and implementing strategic mergers and takeovers."
