Dave Catchpole has resumed control of TekPro after a ten year period during which the company was managed by Malcolm Munday. Unlike Malcolm, Dave is very much a hands-on engineer, more at home in his workshop than behind a desk. By retaking the reinsof the company he helped to found some 20 years ago, he hopes to direct it once more towards the area of manufacturing specialist machinery for the agricultural and other industries. The company develops, makes and markets technology and has two brands which are well-known to the feed sector: firstly, the Samplex range of sampling equipment which is more or less ubiquitous in UK feed mills, and secondly, the Holmen range of pellet quality testers. It also makes Insectomat equipment to detect insects insampled grain as well as contract manufacturing the Air Cushion range of machines which seals air within polyethylene to produce cushioning material for use in packaging.
