摘要

The "Year 2000 revisions" of the ISO 9000 quality management system standards have cleared a further stage in the development process with their progress to Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) status after a positive vote by ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 176, meeting in Kyoto, Japan.The efforts by ISO/TC 176 to involve broad participation in the development of the revisions have resulted in intense scrutiny of the documents and their continual refinement. Compared to the previous Draft International Standard (DIS) versions, the FDIS documents include a number of modifications in response to the comments received from the ISO member bodies, and from the results of the DIS validation programme.
