Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was founded as a university in 1949, and has the history and the tradition that lasts as many as 130 years including the antecedent school years. From the history of academic foundation, it centers on thetwo educational fields, agronomics that supports agriculture and engineering, which are the backbone of the human society and technology. And it has promoted as an unparalleled characteristic university of science and technology which covers a wide range of the related field, and has been conducting studies to contribute to the construction of a safe society and development of new industries. The goal of these studies is to develop the education and research programs aimed at the truth and based on theliberal thinking and research, and to train leading researchers, engineers, and highly skilled specialists with richly cultured minds. Details of the basic philosophy and agriculture related education of the university including international exchange program are explained blow.
