LATEST TRENDS: European prices, as reported by industry correspondents, seem to have kept a same stable to increasing trend, as shown last month. Price indications for frozen tuna are higher this month following poor catch levels in several fishing regions. Nile perch prices have also strengthened over the past month. Frozen groundfish and pelagic prices are generally firm, being well above levels reported during the first quarter of 2005. Several correspondents refer to market resistance to current price levels for frozen mackerel in Russia, squid in Spain as well as for lower volume items such as red mullet in theFrench catering sector.
