Scanmar's latest screen gives huge data increase from gear sensors. A new generation of wheelhouse control equipment for the Scanmar catch control system has been launched by the Norwegian compay. The equipment will, in particular, help skippers to assess the huge amount of data from Scanmar sensors when towing two or more trawls. Already, Scanmar says that 30 systems are on order and this includes fittings for a number of newbuildings. The new screen and control equipment will replace its familiarCGM units sold all over the world for the past decade. "Although we have dold more than 700 CGM units, it was time to move on. Our much larger and ongoing development project named Scanbas," Scanmar's Elin Solbakken tells FNI. "The CGM has been very looking from a wider perspective."
